Final Touches Underway as Building Nears Completion!
Interior of Building
Column Covers are placed and painted.
Windowsills are being placed in classrooms throughout the building.
The water is now turned on and running.
The painting contractor is working throughout the building making final touch ups.
Electrical contractor finishing programming on all lights.
MCPS has completed installation of all classroom furniture.
The Black box theater electrical work continues, with flooring soon to follow.
Decorative Rails are in place at Stairs A & B.
Gym equipment is being placed in the weight room.
The Northwood Logo has been placed in the center of the basketball court.
All corridors on floors 1-3 are waxed with MCPS staff beginning to do final waxing in classrooms.
Exterior of Building
Paving has been completed in the rear of the building.
High strength concrete will be finalized in rear of building by end of week.
State highway work at the entrances continues.
Placement of the asphalt for the tennis courts will begin this next week.
Footings and foundation walls are being poured for the parking structure.
The gas company has finalized connections.
The surplus of dirt in the rear of the building has been removed.
Excavation for the underground storm water management system at the rear of the property has commenced.
